Classes

Teachers cater to students at all levels of interest, skill and experience. Our studio is well equipped. Clay bags can be bought at the studio, glazes are shared by all students and all students’ work is kiln fired on the premises. Electric wheels, an extruder, a slab roller, moulds and a ceramics library are all available to students and members.

Students are encouraged to work on their own projects to develop their skills in pottery. Our experienced teachers provide hands on training and class sizes are small to allow for close interaction between teacher and students.

10 Weeks in each Term – Enrollment is for the full-term and we do not offer casual drop-in for studio classes. Class fees to be paid in full before commencing classes. Class fees do not include clay or firing. Clay is sold at the studio and firing fees are paid based on weight of the items fired.

Tamara Pottier - Teacher

Studied Ceramics at The National Art School. She is a fulltime artist and juggles her talents through her Realist style Painting and her ceramics. Her Pots are inspired by nature adding elements of foliage on her wheel thrown forms. She makes domestic ware as well as sculptural and painted works.

Minji Song - Teacher

A practicing artist for the past 9 years, Minji uses the versatility of clay and ceramic design processes as a form of self-expression. Exploring ideas inward and outward, translating them into unexpected ceramic forms.

Her wheel-thrown creations sit between artwork and functional ware, making them both practical and aesthetically intriguing. Among her signature pieces are double-walled vases and goblets featuring her distinctive face profile silhouettes – a design she continues to push and refine, exploring new shapes and forms.
